I used to be strapped for cash too, was rich, but spent a little too carelessly, and needed some gold for my primeval armor. I'm pretty sure I merched some very valuable items without realising it, but recently I came across a runic blade. Just keep up with farming.

I farm.
HM Hulking Stone Elementals (Sardelac Sanitarium) netted me about 300-400k I posted a guide here if anyone is interested: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10185317 Farming Destroyer Cores, (NM first wave of Glint???s Challenge) netted me about 250k Farming Char Carvings at the moment, which will net me, about +200k come Christmas. Farming is tedious and boring but if you want gold then it is one option that is still viable. Trading is, as mentioned, another source of gold income but you must know the value of items. And no, I don???t farm all the time on GW, only about 25%. Wanted, and got last week FOW armour, so is unfortunately a necessity. |

me: (to guild)how'd you guys get so much money? (r7 glad):just ebay it, man imo farming is the way to go: its best to not farm materials. idc how easy destroyer core farming is, but the drop of a gold is abotu 1000x better than a rare material dropping(same with ectos, imo) i do zehlon reach, occasionally some moebius+db |

Don't forget to ID you white drops from Kryta/Kaineng/Yolon Haven forward. You can usually double the value of whites, if not at least increase the profit.
I usually buy Superior ID Kits, just because they are more convenient. It cost 5gp per ID compared to 4gp for a regular ID kit. |

Find an area to which has a high rate of gold drops...
For me it's an area in Factions which is near impossible to farm. Yet i get 3-5 golds a run. Lots of Sup vigors =) Have fun and GL! |

GWEN is a great place to make money. From dungeons, including quest reward, hidden treasures, and random drops, I usually make atleast 3-5k a dungeon. While its not particarly fast, it does add up if your trying to fill up a master dungeon guide to maybe max a title. I was filling one up and realized I had gained 60k in a few days from just doing dungeons on NM.

Fast is a missleading verb when it comes to making money in GW.
There are some means of building vast fortunes in extremely short time frames, provided youve already spent a large amount of time on building your char, buying weapons/armor/runes/skills/elite skills/consumables and exploring maps to find the right farm spots/runs/vanquishing/dundeons/quests. In general it will always take a fairly long amount of time and effort to amass wealth in GW, however once you reach a certain point it does become much easier and faster to build wealth as youve reduced the amount of spending needed and time invested to aquire that money. |

I'm not a big fan of farming im more of a merchanter but a lot of my mates are the opposite and they seem to make enough money out of farms from the farming thread, but it is better to do the ones when they just come to the forums because drops will still be hihg for around a week but after everyone farms it the place slowly becomes quite bad for the time vs money.

a new guy in laZy was asking the same thing last night, and got a lot of responses. After a small discussion on it, it was decided that Drok Running is the best way to make money in the smallest amount of time. A 'pro runner' in our guild says he makes 200k+ on a good day of dedicated running (figure this: 5 customers @ 2k a run= 10k per run = 10k per 20 minutes roughly- sometimes more sometimes less but this is a fair estimate)
Other than that, I cant think of anything that hasnt already been said upthread. Personally, my main source of income has always been selling zodiacs simply from doing Deep runs a million times, and farming golds/mods/shillings/colossals in zhelon (saying colossal farming doesnt quite cover how good that farm can be) And yes if you have nightfall, it is definately worth it to spend a day getting all Hidden Treasures across your chars.... but depending on how many chars you have, this really can take all day... Mixture of farming and trading:
Farm for a bit, id everything (even whites) to give them higher values, and sell. Fly between LA, Kamadan, sometimes Kaineng, though not as often, and look for items people are selling underpriced. Stock up on these, and sell higher later. Ectos can be decent too, buy around 4.5-4.6 k, and if you hang around LA, Kamadan, or ToA, you'll sometimes find those people that need ectos NOW and will pay 5k. Also, hope you get lucky w/ bday presents |

Im not sure if IDin whites and blue and stuff nets you any profit, ive been told on guildwiki that its more of a loss since the added money is not more then the net loss

The question of wheather or not to id white items has been raised several times.
For the most part is a matter of luck. If you get 25 white drops and id them all there is a chance some of them will dramatically increase in price, up to double thier listed value. In my testing I found about 5-7 of the twenty went up 20g+ while the rest only increased 1-2g. This works out to a small increase in gold income even accounting for the cost of the id kit. If you happen to have factions and can farm some monestary credits for free id kits then you should use them on every item you intend to sell. |
